It is with deep regret and disappointment that students & athletes for Healthy Relationsips must come to a close.



After long consideration and inner turmoil, i must bring stahrs to a close due to the inability to grow the organization, pry open the doors of the schools & classrooms, and build our financial support to the level needed to expand our reach and draw the needed attention.


It's been a great journey with many wonderful supporters, greAT student feedback, and teacherS SUPPORTING ALONG THE WAY. wE ARE GLAD TO HAVE MADE AN IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF THE STUDENTS WE MET. i AM ALWAYS TOUCHED BY THE WILLINGNESS OF TEENS TO SHARE THEIR REALITIES OF LIFE WHEN THEY RECOGNIZE YOU CARE...AND SEE THEM.


i CAN ONLY HOPE THAT THE TOOLS AND PERSPECTIVES TAKEN FROM OUR TIME IN THE CLASSROOM WILL TRANSLATE & HELP THEM TO NAVIAGTE LIFE MORE CONSCIOUSLY.


AS FOR THE PROJECT ON THE TABLE WITH DONATING SETS OF BRUNO'S AMAZING ADVENTURES TO THE SCHOOLS OF WEST MAUI AND REMAINING ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS SERVING OUR MILITARY FAMILIES - THIS WILL STILL BE FULFILLED!!! mARINE CORPS BASE hAWAII & JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR WILL RECEIVE THEIR BOOKS IN 2026 AND THE SCHOOLS OF WEST MAUI ONCE THEY ARE BUILD & HAVE CLASSROOMS AND LIBRARIES TO GO ON SHELVES.



it seems incredibly difficult to grow a brand without a celebrity or influencer promoting the mission & organization these days.


aND unfortunately, the current adminstration change made it impossible for schools to teach about diversity and inclusion without losing their federal funding. while our society likely needs this more than ever, the change in politcal and corporate climate around DEI is slamming doors shut on such goals.


I think the greatest disappointmenT COntributING to this decision IS the deafening sound of the crickets! sO Many coaches, school adminsistrators, school districts, and businesses claimed they wanted to work together and collaborate. They never responded to attempts to follow up. Even pledges of financial support from those closest turned out empty.


We owe a lot to the corporate SPONSORS and private spupport we received over the 7 years to help us achive what we managed, and still have to fulfill.

stahrs seeks professional & amateur athletes, STARS OF THE STAGE & SCREEN, coaches, and industry leaders who want to make a difference in the safety of our children in their schools, our families, and communities.



Stahrs is thrilled to announce

that we raised $7000 in September and October 2024 through our silent auction to fund

phase two of our childrens' book project, focused on the elementary schools of west maui.










phase three will be aimed At the remainig elementary schools (4 of 6) serving our military families. The schools are located on Marine corps base Hawaii and Joint base pearl harbor hickam. That's 4 schools requiing 5-6 dozen sets of books.




Phase four will be the elemanetary schools of waianae /nanakuli and kalihi / palama. phase five will target schools in Waimanalo and Kahuku.


each school receives a set of Bruno's Amazing adventures for their 2nd - 5th grade classrooms + 1-2 sets for their libraries.


The total project budget is close to $50K. Your support would be greatly valued and appreciated as our goal is to donate 35 doezen sets of books to 28 schools in total.




STAHRS is seeking corporate and private sponsors for the various phases of this children's book donation project.

A huge Mahalo Nui Loa to Bettina Mehnert, President & CEO of Architects Hawaii, Ltd (ahl.) for becoming our most recent sponsor. Their incredible generosity of $2500 funds half of phase two. STAHRS is so grateful. And Christine Kinimaka of Pacific Blue Skies Consulting has also pledged to help fund phase two.

The executive director will customize the inside front cover page of The Big Fire (book 3) to include a list of all the corporate sponsors, winning bidders, & individual donors to let the families of the West Maui Schools know who loves them. ALOHA! Each phase of book donations will have the same customization for the donors.

STAHRS AIMS TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN ABOUT BULLYING PREVENTION, DISCRIMINATION PREVENTION, overcoming personal adversity, SELF-CARE & DEVELOPING INNER PEACE.



Bruno's Amazing Adventures series



the Bruno's amazing adventures series encourages keiki to be adventurous and enjoy the outdoors. the series explores acceptance of others for their differences & bullying prevention. The series also encourages children to overcome personal adversities and challenges as well as developing inner peace and exploring foreign lands.



its important that children know they can rise above their personal challenges through perseverence and determination, like umber, the blind sled-dog team leader.



our children are sponges and they absorb what they are taught, such as acceptance and inclusion rather than rejection based on superficial differences. that is how we can best prevent bullying from occuring. sadly, being bullied often translates into other forms of relationship violence.



i was thrilled for the chance to share the lessons from Bruno's Amazing adeventures with the keiki of the Pacific missile range facility.



its important that children know they can get help from adults. too often they're afraid to ask for help. be aware and help a child when needed.



october is domestic violence awarenss month and february is teen dating violence awareness month. stahrs wants to eliminate teen dating violence and sexual assaults by educating high schoo students while the information resonnates most strongly.



bruno' amazing adventures





Rocky Mountain High encourages kids to get outdoors to explore and make new friends. Set in Rocky Mountain National Park, Bruno makes new friends on all of his amazing adventures.



The Adventures of Tua Pru takes children on the adventure to take care of our oceans and the environment. It also shows children how to help family members dealing with adversity.



Set in Rocky Mountain National Park, The Big Fire address acceptance and inclusion for bullying prevention. It teaches children that we all feel the same inside no matter how we look outside.



Can a Zebra Change its Stripes? illustrates how children are innocent and accepting by nature. It highlights how rejection of others is taught by the adults.



Rescued, A Story of Redemption teaches children that we all are capable of overcoming incredible personal challenges and that leading others is about heart and determination.



Journey to Ananda teaches children that we can ask for help to help share the burdens of life while also teaching them true coping skills of grounding and meditation. It also includes adventures in foreign lands.



These t-shirts were designed to help spread peace at the beginning of the pandemic when so many people were arguing over differences of opinion. And since bullying in many forms has played a significant role in the lives of my professional clients, what better message to show the world that we each can make a difference.

STAHRS is a 501c3 nonprofit organization designed to be a mechanism for professional and amateur athletes to make a difference in the trajectory of violence in our schools & communities.

STAHRS aims to reduce teen dating violence, sexual assaults, bullying, substance abuse, etc. Our curriculum can explain the extremes of human behaviors, such as school shootings.

STAHRS will empower students to develop positive peer cultures of inclusion, and therefore, safer environments. Our children are the short-term & long-term solution with the proper information and perspectives.

STAHRS needs YOU! We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization needing financial support from the public, amateur sports world, and professional athletes while we gain recognition & attention for the mission and the results.

STAHRS can fill gaps in rural mental health education. STAHRS can reach half of an area's students by presenting to a middle school and high school. I envision trying to make as much impact in rural communities as in urban communities. Boys & girls all need to have the information to let them be more conscious and wiser.

Our focus is on developing our In-Schools program. Let's create Ambassadors of Change. Each athlete becomes a pebble in the pond to help influence others.
